ASEEDER STEM Challenges Participation Process

I. Registration

Registration Phase:

  • The School can apply for partner school and students can directly register via School.

  • The Registration Deadline will last until 2 Weeks before Exam Date of each competitions.

About Payment Schools can submit the registration form and issue the payment accordingly before the registration deadline.

Payment Method Currently we have two methods to issue the payment. One is through PayPal and the other is by Bank Transferring. The PayPal allows to pay by debit or credit card.

II. Exam Preparation

Exam Time and School Facilities Arrangement The exam must be completed within the specified exam date of each competitions and the school can arrange facilities for students according to its own conditions.

The exam venue could be a separate classroom, a large lecture hall, or a computer lab.

In a separate classroom or a large lecture hall:

Students may use their own devices to take the exam (laptops only; mobile devices such as iPads or phones cannot be used). Because the exam system has screen-switching prevention, using mobile devices can easily trigger cheating detection and may be considered as cheating.

In a computer lab, the school must ensure that:

  1. There are enough computers;
  2. The computers meet the required specifications;
  3. The network is reliable;
  4. Prepare the spare computers/laptops;

  • Computer Configuration: Windows: 8G, quad-core CPU;

  • MacOS: Core i5, M1, M2 CPU are recommended

  • Computer System: Win10 or newer; Mac ios11 or newer

  • Browser: Google Chrome (the latest version is recommended)

  • Network Bandwidth: not slower than 20Mbps; 50 Mbps is recommended

*The Organizing Committee does not accept any appeals resulting from the network and exam device problems.

III. Before the Competition

Exam Instructions

  1. 5-7 days before the exam, the detailed Exam Instructions will be sent accordingly.

  2. 3 days before the exam, the Mock Test will be open.

Mock Test

  1. The Mock Test will be closed at 23:59 the day before the Formal Exam. Students will have around 3 days to take the practice exam.

  2. Mock Test is really important for students, as it not only tests their/school computers used for the exam, but also helps them to get familiar with the online exam platform. Please be sure to organize students to take mock exam in advance.

IV. Exam Day

Students take the formal exam at school.

V. After the exam

  1. The exam result will be announced usually in 6-8 weeks after the exam.

  2. Students can check the results and download the certificate on official website. Please note: the certificate link is valid for 6 months.
